Working with the City to Recycle!
2009 marks the year when API Waste Services assisted in the development of a recycling park at the SM City Landfill to divert C&D materials and save valuable landfill space. The concept of partnering the City’s infrastructure with multiple local businesses (API, BEI, E&G) with years of experience and expertise in different recycling activities will be innovative and beneficial for Santa Maria residents, the City, and the involved businesses. This addition to landfill operations will reduce the amount of material entering valuable landfill space, contribute to the public’s awareness of recycling opportunities, divert recyclable products for reuse, and prove beneficial to the city, county and environment.
